1. Poacher-- a person who trespasses on private property, especially to catch fish or game illegally.    (p.208)
2. Captivity-- the state or period of being held, imprisoned, enslaved, or confined.    (p.210)
3. Echo---   a repetition of sound produced by the reflection of sound waves from a wall, mountain, or other obstructing surface.    (p.210)
4. Parakeet--- any of numerous small, slender parrots, usually having a long, pointed, graduated tail, often kept as pets and noted for the ability to mimic speech: several species are endangered.    (p.210)
5. Botanist-- a specialist in botany  (p.212)
6. Scrabbling--- to scratch or scrape, as with the claws or hands. (p.212)
7. Endangered-- threatened with a danger  (p.212)
8. Dramatic--of or pertaining to the drama (p.213)
9. Resilience--
the power or ability to return to the original form, position, etc., after being bent, compressed, or stretched (p.213)
10. Stability--
the state or quality of being stable. (p.213)
